Everyone who steps inside Calvary Church becomes part of the family. As a community of believers that live in Christ’s love, the church reaches out to share God’s love and power to those around them.

Calvary Church Houston is a nondenominational church that believes in a balance of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The church teaches through the Bible line upon line, precept upon precept so that members grow into maturity and create a positive impact in the world around them. By training men and women to become disciples, they will be able to go out into their respective communities and the mission field with the timeless power of God’s Word to change lives. Through the years, it has been a church that reaches outside its borders to share God’s love to those around them and even to the ends of the earth.

Established in 1991 by Pastor Ron Hindt, Calvary Houston started as a small home fellowship, focused on contemporary worship and expositional teaching of the Bible. It now serves thousands of people each week. The vision of Calvary Houston is to worship the Lord, win the lost, disciple the saints, and send the equipped. The ministry of Calvary Houston has expanded to include daily radio broadcasts of Pastor Ron’s unique, expositional style of teaching. These half-hour broadcasts, known as “Larger Than Life,” are aired daily throughout the United States.

Calvary Houston is a nondenominational Christian church and a member of the Calvary Chapel Outreach Fellowship. Calvary Houston believes it is essential to winning the lost for Christ and continues to pray that God will use them as a soul-winning church.
