About

Since it was founded in 1991, the vision of Calvary Houston has been to worship the Lord, win the lost, disciple the saints, and send the equipped. Through worship, discipleship, and evangelism, the church teaches members to go out with faith into their respective communities empowered by the timeless impact of God’s Word to bring real change into the lives of many.

Calvary Houston Church believes that worship should be spiritual, inspirational and from the heart. The gatherings give importance to worship and value it as one of the ways an individual can experience God’s love. As Jesus gave his best for mankind, the members strive for excellence in everything they do. Everyone is welcome to join the services at Calvary Church and join its growing family.

Founded in 1991 by Pastor Ron Hindt, Calvary Church Houston started as a small home fellowship that focuses on contemporary worship and expositional teaching of the Bible. At present, Calvary Houston serves thousands of members each week. It is an evangelical church that believes in a balance of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The church continues to pray and strive toward continuing to be a soul-winning church. Calvary Houston believes it is essential to winning the lost for Christ. Through the years, it has been a church that reaches outside its borders to share God’s love to those around them and even to the ends of the earth.

Calvary Houston’s ministry has expanded to include daily radio broadcasts of Pastor Ron Hindt’s unique, expositional style of teaching. These half-hour broadcasts, known as “Larger Than Life,” are aired daily throughout the United States.
